With Hanukkah approaching quickly this year I wanted to make sure my son and I had some time to do a festive craft together.
- 1 sheet of white paper
- 2 pieces of blue paper
- pencil or pen
- paper plate
- blue paint
First thing is cut out a single triangle. Then take the triangle and use as a stencil and trace around with pencil on blue paper until no more room. Then cute out the triangles.
After 16 triangle are cut out stop. Then glue the triangles together.
Once all glued together glue the stars to the white paper. Arrange in a circle.
Together we finger pained with the tips of our fingers. It was super fun to get messy together.
Next we wrote with the glue clockwise starting from the top 1-8. Then went back and added dots representing the number. 1 dot for 1 day 2 dots for 2 days and so on.We sprinkled glitter over the glue. Then rolled the paper and took a paper plate and attempted to take excess glitter off. Once excess glitter on plate can put back in glitter container.
Just wait until glue dries and hang up and enjoy. During this craft we practiced hand eye coordination, fine motor skills, counting, and even about Hanukkah and why we celebrate 8 days.
